Municipal Liquor Store

The City of Browerville owns the Municipal Liquor Store. There are two reasons for a city to own this business. It was the original intention of municipalities to own the local liquor store to control the sale of alcohol. The second reason is to use the business to raise money for the city. Each year profits from the Liquor Store are transferred to the city General Fund to help reduce the tax burden.
